Your stay in French Polynesia will end in a few days
Here is an official communiqué from the Air Tahiti Nui web site with full details:
Dear traveler,
Your stay in French Polynesia will end in a few days.
To enter the United States, the American health authorities require a test for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus antigen or PCR test) to be performed within the 3 days before arrival in the US.
A COVID-19 screening center is located in the lobby of Tahiti-Faa’a airport. It allows you to perform an antigen test on the day of your departure to the United States. It is open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. only the days when flights are departing to the United States.
You can perform your test faster if you have pre-registered and validated the pre-payment of your file.
For this, you must send at least two days before your return to the United States, by email to the address.
, your last name, first name, date of birth and if possible, your file number obtained on your arrival in French Polynesia (written on the label affixed to the back of your passport). In return, you will receive an email containing your Departure file number as well as a link allowing you to prepay for your test.
When you go to the COVID-19 screening center at the Tahiti-Faa’a airport on the day of your departure, you will be given priority for your test and your waiting time will be shortened. Give your Departure file number at the registration desk to be tested quickly. Check with your accommodation (hotel, guest house, other…) to complete this formality.
