Atunu Mai - Cooking Class
Welcome to Havaiki’s kitchen ! Moorea born and raised, Havaiki shares with you her passion for Polynesian cuisine and culture. She welcomes you into her garden house where you’ll learn how to cook healthy local Tahitian food. During a 2-hour lesson accompanied with appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages, Havaiki will teach you how to cook the famous “poisson cru”, the poe, a traditional tahitian dessert or the uru, also known as breadfruit. You’ll then enjoy the fruit of your labour in a shared lunch including dessert and coffee. Havaiki makes sure to use exclusively locally grown ingredients and is proud to offer a zero-waste activity as any trash produce is used as compost.
Our experience
An incredible experience with Havaiki in Moorea! We learned how to prepare traditional Tahitian dishes like raw fish with coconut milk in a warm and friendly atmosphere. I loved Havaiki's commitment to sustainable and local practices. After cooking, we shared a delicious meal made with fresh ingredients from the island. It was authentic, enriching, and environmentally friendly. A must-do! ( Lauren - Travel Designer).
