Hiking to the Afareaitu waterfalls
The guided hike through one of Afareaitu’s private valleys, towards the waterfalls, is an off-the-beaten-track escape into nature, where you can discover a private Garden of Eden and the remains of marae (ancient Polynesian temples). At numerous stops along the way, Yvette, the local guide and resident of Moorea, will explain the plants and their uses, share the history of the valley and invite you to enjoy a fruit tasting by the river.
