A day at Reef Island
This expedition offers a day on a motu, complete with a grilled feast, to explore Reef Island, about an hour’s sail from the village. Participants will be amazed by the lunar panorama of the motu’s ocean front. The dark volcanic rock, chiselled by the ravages of erosion, creates a singular backdrop and offers numerous natural swimming pools. A variety of activities and entertainment (snorkeling, weaving, visits to the Tiputa dolphin pool, etc.) enhance the visit, allowing visitors to grasp the subtleties of Rangiroa and Paumotu culture.
